Medications that cost $1 Million Dollars a Year!

Can it be true? Is the world run by people who value money far greater than they do compassion? Well if you are a Pharmaceutical Giant then the answer would be, yes. While getting grant money from the government to research and develop their high priced poisons. The major pharmaceutical companies are raking in huge profits by charging as much as $1.6 million for a years’ worth of medication. The medications we are talking about are prescribed for rare diseases that affect fewer than 200,000 people in the United States.  I remember when I was a kid collecting comic books and the term “rare” was used when talking about a comic that only had a few copies left in existence.
“They replace reality with words and then talk about the words”, Nicola Tesla. Manufacturing chemicals has been a staple in this country since 1947. This was the year when they broke down the chemical structure of oil and the plastics industry was born. Assembling atoms and designing molecules is done with machines that have been long since paid for. You can put a Million dollars in a room by itself and it will never solve any problems. People solve problems and the amount of Time they spend solving the problem is called Work. The cost of making these drugs is nominal but Big Pharma will go on and on about spending all their money on Research & Development. Now we see that by labeling a disease rare they can charge even more for it and get kickbacks from the governments grant programs. The public is kept in the dark and people lose their life savings paying for medications that actually cost very little to manufacture.
